The Origin Story
In 2020, when communities across the country were searching for ways to stay connected and support one another, an idea took shape in Alger County — one rooted in service, gratitude and community pride. The team at Pictured Rocks Golf Course approached Arland Brock with a simple but powerful mission:
“Let's create something that gives back to the veterans who gave everything.”
What started as a single conversation became a shared vision — bringing the community together through a golf outing with purpose, raising meaningful support for four cornerstone veteran organizations. It became more than a fundraiser. It became a movement.
